Mine's on an original Stainless Stalker. Shilen select whatever # is real close to factory contour, finished .650" at 25 ". Was going to shorten in inch increments while checking speed just for the information, but it shoots & balances too well to screw around with.

Has anyone ever set their's up to mimic original Westley Richards ballistics? That is, a 250 at 2350?

Never tried imitating the Westley Richards ballistics. Have played with all bullet weights from 180-275gr and pretty much decided that 200-210gr is what I prefer.

I do have a Safari style 338-06 coming, maybe I should think about setting it up for 250gr bullets..

I like 200-210 as well for bullet weight, but the times I played with 250 grain Hornady bullets I got better accuracy in the 25-2600 fps range.
