2.5-8 is part of the current line-up.
Seems like they are not available anywhere. I would have bought one if I could have found one, but it did inspire/require me to mount an M8 that I'd been storing for years. I don't know because I have not hunted, or even shot with it yet, but I have a feeling I'm going to be very happy with a fixed 4x for my uses. This rifle will be for New England Whitetails exclusively and if I can't get within 200 yards of one, I'll just accept that they've won the day.

I understand the fixed power market is probably pretty small. Weaver's gone. I hate to see Leupold do away with them completely. I wonder if they will be an option if the custom shop opens back up. If nothing else, I imagine they sell limited runs of them, similar to the Ruger #1. Maybe a 4x33 with post and duplex this year, 6x36 with lrd next, 6x42 with the B&C, 3x20 with the #4 etc...

My favorite scope on my .223s is the Leupold FX-3 12x-40mm AO Target.
No longer in production.
Obey lawful commands. Video interactions. Hold bad cops accountable. Problem solved.

Really want one of the Fx-2s ier scout scopes but they are near impossible to find in stainless for less than double what they were new.

Leupold seems to be dropping what I consider to be the "regular" hunting scopes and turning towards the "tacticool" long range turret twisters.
Even their newer "regular" scopes such as the rimfire 3-9 x 33 AO have a more angular, tactical look to them.
So, what bothers me is the 'what if' scenario. What if one of my 'regular' scopes craps out and I send it in for warranty repair? If they are no longer making these models and they have no parts to repair it, what sort of tactical ugliness will I get to place on my Classic Select Kimbers or my Ruger No. 1, or??
I guess I could trade the beautiful wood stocked Kimber in on an AR. NOT!

If people were buying them, they’d still be making them. The irony is that some folks are now looking for older/no longer made Leupold gloss scopes for older classic wood and walnut rifles. I just put an M8 4x on my 721 and am looking for a Weaver T for an older M700 Varmint in 222. Weaver R&B on both in keeping with the rifles age.
