I was just keyboard thinking out loud Norm. I have no intention of going that route, in fact I just keep slipping deeper into the Savage rabbit hole.
When i was laid off in April I thought maybe retirement might work until I had realized 8 more Savages had appeared before I went back to work in Sept.But with mobile internet it didn't stop there-6 more have found their way here,with a 1940 checkered EG 303 that I thought I had previously missed out on till his 1st buyer fell out arriving tomorrow and a 'B' 30-30 coming on Friday.
Wasn't long ago that I would check GB or other sites and say, wow, do our friends to the south ever get a break on firearm prices compared to us. While I do see northern prices rising, we haven't -yet- got caught up in the race.
Including my 7-08, .243NIB the arriving 303EG is the most I've paid out for a 1899/99 which works out to about $950us shipped with 3 boxs of 303 ammo, 1 box fired brass, 2 Win white box of NIB brass and dies.
