Sometimes the feeling you get from helping a neighbor in need is reward enough.
Awesome, though, that he thanked you so generously.

Have a good neighbor thats a retired doctor so he got money, I fight with him all the time about letting me fix something instead of paying lots of money to get it fixed. He's starting to come around now, his heat pump took a schit and had a repairman over 3 times trying to fix it, each time his bill was over $600. Took a schit again and I finally convince him to let me have a go at it. Took me about 20 mins to find it. He want to pay me, didnt happen i walked away

Instead of asking a woman if she has a single sister, ask if he has a brother that needs help.

Clearly 7.65 Mauser. What a bunch of pilgrims.

Well this is a fine pickle we're in, should'a listened to Joe McCarthy and George Orwell I guess.

Looks like a nice old Remington. It appears your neighbor has good taste, and a well founded appreciation for you.

FWIW, I made damn sure there were not kids/grandkids in the equation.

He's over at my shop in the fall, as I've got several neighbors that bring deer over and we skin/quarter/bone them out even if they're bringing it in for sausage etc, as it saves a processing fee.

He said, quote: "my daughter raised sissies than didn't want to hunt or fish with me, they'd just sell the damn thing. You'll shoot it"

He's right too. I'm going for neighborhood deer cred with that SOB next season......

......if I can find brass. F'panic!

goalie;
Thanks for sharing that with us, it's a very cool arm for sure.

Here's hoping you're able to find some brass and get that thing lined in for some deer hunting.

All the best to you and yours sir and thanks again.

Dwayne
