A few years ago I took a similar firearm over to Rock Island Auctioneer's at the Tulsa Show & left it with them on consignment. They added it to an estate collection & were able to get me double what I would have asked in a more limited audience scenario such as this forum. Jim Supica, NRA representative pointed out that Rock Island has a worldwide audience & would be far more beneficial than a personal sale.
If you do bring it to Tulsa I would love to discuss your gun with you.

Is this one one of the ones made by Rossi?
My dad had one of those when he was a teenager [he was born in 1924] and I still have it. I got lots of squirrels with it when I was a kid. I had it reblued and refinished and it looks just like yours..The only part not original is the rear sight elevation bar.

How many rounds would one need to fire in order to polish a .22 barrel?

This IS a Winchester and I've never broke in a .22, just unboxed and started shooting

I always thought that it would be nice to have one factory new, but I really don't have the desire to shoot the one I have. The screw slot in the screw near the front of the receiver in picture 11 looks like it was abused and isn't factory new. Regardless it's a nice piece.
