Finally found a White Super 91 in .451 with the laminated stock! I have some No Excuses 460 gr bullets on the way and a Burris Drop Time 3x9 scope enroute. Should be fun times. I never should have sold my .504

Love those fast twist .451s. I never found a laminated Super 91 but did manage a pair of Super Safaris in .451 and .504. I did take a deer with the .451 but haven't even fired the .504. My main ML for several years was a White Thunderbolt .451. For deer I never saw a need for the .504

Have had a white super 91 in 504 cal since 1992. Has been a great shooter with the 600gr superslugs. Haven't tried the "no excuses" bullets yet. Great rifles.

I used the No Excuses bullets back when I had a Suoer 91 .504 and they worked as well as the Super Slugs. I just got the rifle in today and it looks great. The laminated stock is a lot lighter than I thought it would be

Excellent. Mine sees constant use every deer season. Since I got it from rattus in 05 its been my 99% go to for all deer hunting. "Those little 451 squirrel rifles" do just fine for deer!
460 no excuses do great, as do most other conicals. Doesnt need a lot of powder to get it rolling either. I have killed deer equally dead with 55 grains of 2f up to 90 grains of 3f. Not much difference, if any under 100 yds.
Great gun. Love mine.
Quit giving in inch by inch then looking back to lament the mile behind ya and wonder how to preserve those few feet left in front of ya. They'll never stop until they're stopped. That's a fact.

The whites seem to hold their value. They were not cheap when they were bought new. Great guns. A lot of changes were made in them in the relative short time they were made. Started out with Douglas barrels, win model 70 type safety,Dayton traister triggers, full underribs, and walnut stocks. Then company changed hands 6 times, and the rifles went thru some changes.

i love the lore of the white MLs. sold my super 91 and havent missed it, but ill always have my white lightning.
i will say, i shot a ton of conicals out of that 91 and never did love them. the recoil and loopy trajectory were fun, but not THAT fun. settled on a saboted xtp for the lightning w 80 g of t7 or swiss. mild recoil and vicious on whitetails out to 100ish yds.

That's a good looking rifle with the laminated stock. Is the ramrod aluminum?

The scope seems to be pretty nice and the reviews are good. I would prefer to put a Meopta or Kahles 6x42 on it if I can find one at a decent price
