Sorry - can't tell from the pic, but is that a full-size 1911? If so, that holster appears to work well with it and keeps it a bit higher than most..

For the most part, when I carry a 1911, it's a Commander sized gun & I will use, & really prefer, a shoulder holster if your attire allows it, especially if you're in a car a lot. A full size in the same holster doesn't make much difference. I use a Galco Miami Classic II.

Again, if attire allows it, an OWB is next best. All kinds, take your pick. I use Kydex.

But if your attire requires a IWB, then I use a Brommeland or a Remora................Remora works well with the shorter gun, the full size is better in the leather Brommeland. Brommeland leather in noticeably thinner than Sparks.

Galco also makes a great belt of a decent price, too.................which you will need.
