Well it's been a bit since I shot my 20ga slug gun. I was determined to get a slug I could load at home and shoot for cheaper than the market rate of $2 per round for slugs. (yea this was a few years back... )

Either it got side lined or I succeeded, can't remember.

Got a few of Dad's old guns now along with shotgun stuff. So I started organizing, which lead to digging around which lead to making a mess and discovering stuff and heading to the range. Still have a mess to organize.

Found some loaded shells for my 20 ga that were coded NOE1. Hmm, NOE is a mould maker, wonder what I loaded up, and more than just 2-3 to test...

Turns out the full bore NOE 20ga 3grease groove slug powered by 2400 and some other stuff, hard cards, wads, gas seal ect... don't remember the particulars now, that's why I wrote them down.

Anyway, found 4 other boxes of factory slugs and thought I'd go test them.

shot at 50 yds.

the other 4 boxes shot great! no wonder I was saving them. Win super X HP slugs and some other ones I'm sure are not made or available at the time of this writing.

and then to my NOE full bore slugs. Sufferin Succotash they KICK! at 50 yds, lasered by my gadget. I got 3 stacked on top of each other!

So I did succeed!

I'll try to get some load data and a pic of the ammo up.

btw, it's a NEF 20ga rifled barrel with scope.

hmm, I had it for sale, better take down the ad before it sells.....

Whatever you are willing to put up with, is exactly what you will have.

When your ship comes in. ... make sure you are willing to unload it.

PAYPAL, sucks and I will never use them again. I recommend you do the same.

I have loaded my own 20 gauge slugs using a 20 gauge sabot from a gun shop in New Jersey. The load uses blue dot powder, a sabot sized for a .452 bullet and "Roll Crimped". One hole groups more often than not at 50
yards with very mild recoil. Killed deer deader than hell.
