It wasn’t real fast, but CCI200’s, in Hornady cases went about 2400. Pretty accurate though.

Cool rebore 79.. mines a Ruger Hawkeye with a 1-10. I had the same issue with misfires till it was all fire formed myself. Now I neck them all up before I start.

The misfires were legit nosler 9.3x62 that’s what had me scratching my head. But like you for my fire formed brass I took it up to .375 then necked it down to 9.3.

I had misfires in mine also my fault resized new Lapua brass! Gave it a 375 shoulder bump then set shoulder to minimum headspace and all was fine.

Have quite a few 286 NP if you need some. The 286 Barnes are long for length take up a lot of powder space. I run RL15 with 250 gr and RS Big game with 286 gr.

With Big Game and 286 gr bullets velocity was over 2500 FPS very accurate, with RL 15 2400 was tops. 22" and I have 8# of Big Game! Any more I want to use what
we have and work with the known loads. On powders that I cant replace.

Note: Using RL15 for everything would simplify chidt. Just sayin.

I had no issues seating the 286 with big game where I needed them which was at mag box length.

Getting oddball flyers with the 285 ppu’s, the 286 tsx load I would hunt that load today. The 250 AB getting 4 in 1 out lol. Guess seat more deeper. I was looking at my barrel channel realized I didn’t do the paper test to see if it was fully floated😬. Well yank it apart start sanding on it to eliminate any contact the stock has with the barrel.

I’m looking forward to working with mine a bit more. So far it’s been a real accurate rebore and slings the 250 Accubonds real well. I’ve got PP2000 and BG as well I’ll try as well. It was a lunker as a 280 but feels perfect as a 9.3.

Oh yeah, mines a Ruger with so much throat I seat everything at Mag length. It doesn’t seem to be hurting it at all. A buddy sent me some 250 A-Frames I wanna dig into as well. Those might not be missiles but I’d bet they’ll poke big holes.

My rifle weighs 8lbs after shooting it yesterday I cannot imagine shooting 6.5-7lb 9.3x62.

Well I eliminated the barrel support I had as well, I noticed the last couple Winchester I bedded and added some barrel support they did not like it. BSA has mentioned this as well. It’s also now fully floated no barrel contact with the stock. Might take it out again tomorrow to see how it shoots now.

I think mines 8 on the nose as well. I’d have to dig around but it’s within a few ounces either way.

Use Lapua, Norma, or Privi brass. What dies are you using?

Avoid Hornady brass and RCBS dies. Both result in cases that are undersized just forward of the rim.

Dang, nice lightweight all weather rig there, i have a Heym 98 mauser in 9.3x62, RL-17 under 320gr Woodleighs for 2400 fps is a hell of an accurate load, noting you have the cheaper 285gr ppu's, hope you have a pile of them, shoot the hell out of a JES rebore to help 'smooth' it in, i firelap mine with JB, then 500 strokes of JB, clean with Kroil, patch dry and they're ready to RIP.

I'm wondering if a fire lapping kit would be worth considering?

I think so buddy, dont remember how or why, but i have several small tubs of Wheeler lapping compound, starts at 200 grit and iirc goes to 600 grit, i coat loaded rounds with that and shoot them, then finish up with the JB, in the case of my latest JES rebore, a 458 Win Mag, i cast some 500gr round nosed bullets and put the lapping compound in the grease grooves, fired from 200 to 600, then JB'd, that bore shines like glass, and shoots like a house of fire with barrel Express sights.

Why would I firelap it?
