This is probably the cleanest Model 1000 I've ever seen, its in very good condition with nicely figured stocks. Shows some handling wear, as well as a couple stock dings, but is really a nice shotgun. I have no idea of a round count, but given the condition of the action, it looks to be very low. These were excellent shotguns. We sold A Lot of them when they were on the market new, and S&W handguns were scarce and allocated to dealers. We got one hand gun order for every S&W long gun we ordered, so we had a lot of the 1000s in stock. I bought myself a 20ga 28 M&F and a 26 I/C barrel. In 2007 I sold it to help with keeping my house during my bout with cancer. I tried to buy it back a year later, but the buyer had given it to his wife, and she wouldn't budge. They're pretty soft-shooting.

Mine had very nice wood, also. Most had nice wood, and some had exceptional wood.
