LGS has an Xbolt Composite Stalker in 270, with a Leupold VX-1 3-9x40mm on it for sale. $750. Looks to have fired 20 rounds, no marks on it.
I'm a cash buyer in the market for a .270, what should I offer?

One thing- I have one in 260 Rem. Loved the feel of the slim stock but found it kicked over-hard for caliber and you had to rest very far back to get any consistency. I swapped the factory for a Bell and Carlson and WOW what a nice difference. Not as skinny felling but so much more comfortable and consistent. Hell of a shooter.
I love some features on that rifle. I would pay more than $600 but it may be a negotiation starting point Depends a bit on if you would keep that scope or not. You could likely sell it if you didn't need it.
