Sounds like the whole fam damily is going, so it will be more of a nature walk and checking for deer sign than a serious hunt. I'm determined to spend more time afield this fall.

Heading up to the Bigfork shack. We need to build a new deck and a new walkway out to the sauna. I have a camera that has been out since Memorial day, need to check that also.

I'm not sure if I'll get to break away or not. My nephew has a birthday party on Saturday and the boy works all day Sunday. So I may have to drive him around a bit.

62 here for the high. makes it feel like hunting season! then the forecast says 88 on Sunday so......maybe not quite there yet. The season is open, but I'm not gonna think about hunting until late october, unless I'm hunting walleyes with a speargun!

We have same temps here Ryan. High 70's low 80's next week too. If we weren't supposed to get 3-4" of rain today, it would be nice weather.

Jeff, he umps baseball and softball games. Pretty good bank for a 14 year old kid. $45/game for baseball $35 for softball. Cash money! He has 6 games on Sunday.

Good for him, Tom. Get that work ethic going early. I umped for one season. You can definitely make some substantial money. Tell the young whippersnapper it's time for him to buy YOU a rifle!

Anybody going out for grouse this weekend? Hoping to have a good walk in the woods this Sunday. It will be early recon for deer season more than anything else.

Bear season opens here on sunday! cant wait! have a couple of shooter bears coming in, two diffrent spots! one between 4:30 and 7:30 pmn probly hunt that one! my 73 year old buddy has the tag, hes going to use a Henry 41 mag rifle Lever! Im hopeing to film it!

I’ll be staying out of the woods this weekend. I have a few fall chores to clean up yet. I’ll have 4 days off next week tho to screw around in the woods. Looking forward to it.

Just got back from Emily. I walked 4 different trails this morning. Unfortunately, I saw all most as many wolf tracks as deer tracks.Talked to some of the locals and it doesn't sound good. Lots of wuffies in our AO this fall. Jumped two grouse, but never got a shot off with all the leaves on the trees. There's a whole string of buck rubs on the trail back into my deer hunting area.
