I have been a hobby "gunsmith" for about 15 years and recently i have been contemplating upgrading machines which you can imagine is quite expensive. I thought i might offer "remage" and savge prefits to offset my costs. This is what i was thinking: Convert factory remington barrel to "remage": $75 (this would include a fresh crown but no refinishing of barrel) Same as above and rechamber: $100 Fit your existing blank to "remage": $150 Rechamber your factory savage: $75 (this would include a fresh crown) Fit your existing blank to savage "prefit": $150 I have approximately 20 reamers and dont mind getting more if its something i think i will use more than a couple times. Most of my reamers are for match rifles and throated for heavier bullets. I also have several ackley reamers. Always interested in trading services for components as well. Willicd76 outlook.com

Where are you located? By Remage I'm guessing = Rem 783 (which I think is similar to a Marlin XS/XL)?
What reamers do you have for a slow twist 6mm?

Remage is remington 700 to use a barrel nut like a savage. I have ppc, br, 6-250, and tcu 6mm reamers that all work well with a variety of bullet weights.

Fit existing blank to "remage" and chamber $$? Remage conversion include the nut?
I never thought I'd grow up to be a grumpy old man, but I did, and I'm killin' it.

[email protected]So if you ship a barrel you going to insure it or try to cheat the owner out of his barrel, also do you have a FFL asking for a friend

Youre grasping for straws now GIMPY. I think your going to find out who grasping soon, on line search on the BATF web page, no 01 FFL issued to that name or the 508 nara Vista lane address, you don't have a sign stating a gun bussiness there, nice house

What part of a rem barrel is serialized to require an ffl? Rifle barrel, trigger guard, stock .....all just accessories.
I would not buy something that runs on any kind of primer given the possibility of primer shortages and even regulations. In fact, why not buy a flintlock? Really. Rocks aren't going away anytime soon.
