Or give him a call - he is good about picking up the phone unless he is busy building my next rifle

I have two customs built on a tikka action. Good choice . A couple years back I posted a thread asking when we’d start seeing builds off tikka actions in numbers? Lack of metric tooling owned by smiths was one answer why it wasn’t profitable. I’ve seen a lot of nice builds since. 🦫

Tikka actions are about as close to a custom action as you will find and about 1/2 the price of a custom
I may not be smart but I can lift heavy objects
I have a shotgun so I have no need for a 30-06.....

I have 3 custom tikkas. One built by Kevin Cram for Montour county rifles, and 2 i just finished with carbonsix prefits.

Brief pause in the discussion to ask about your success with Carbonsix barrels. I have one in process and am hoping its as good as I’m hearing.

Wanting someone to build me a tikka action, McMillan edge stocked, proof researche barreled 25-06. Any suggestions? Holy Fhuqking Schit, what a schitty bet to LOSE! Hint. I'd slow the fhuqk down, focus and try again. Hint. What exactly are you wanting to do? The better the details, the easier it is to connect dots. Hint................

Tikka actions are about as close to a custom action as you will find and about 1/2 the price of a custom Their barrels are darn good too. Very accurate is the norm. I guess if a guy thinks they can get a better shooting rifle by going the custom route, more power to them..
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

Tikkas twist rates are a problem. The only caliber twisted right is the 6.5's

A 1-8 in my SL 223 doesn’t suck! Sorry for the thread hijack, the OP is looking for a big game rifle.
