Seems to me high strung cop dropped the hammer when he heard the taser get deployed. Dude took the rounds and didn't phase him, I'd say on something most likely. Probably not a good shoot from what I saw. Dude did himself no favors but shouldn't have died for being a douche. Even the cop on the left in the first vid had a surprised reaction that one of his buddies opened up. That's my take anyway, not murder just bad stuff made worse. I'd say family entitled to compensation to the tune of 3 years reported wages of the deceased. Cop reprimanded and let go after he works off the payment to the family away from the public. That's my take anyway. No one needs to swing it win the lotto over it. Mistakes were made

First off, ya never really know the whole story. Based on the video only, this could have and should have been de-escalated. Tasers save lives, cops and idiots alike. That said I have 2 takeaways. 1, trigger happy, wannabe commando cops are the ones who will march happily in lockstep to come take your guns when the time comes and they wont hesitate to kill you for them. 2, that cop needs some serious range time.

This crap, at this amount, doesn't happen in any other first-world countries because officers have more extensive training and they take officers deploying their firearms a lot more seriously.
"I was scared so I started blasting" is not an excuse.
1. He wasn't moving when he was first shot, he was stationary and being shocked by the Taser 2 He was shot three more times while he was falling backwards and while on the ground
The officer was obviously startled by the Taser going off and started popping off rounds because he has little training/ self control.

Yes, and Tasers don't always have the right affect - some people just aren't that affected by them or pull the electrodes out.

Rules of shoot to kill were to start shooting at 15 ft separation. They had to change the rules to start shooting at 21 or 22 feet because too many people were getting gutted.
It looked like a good shoot to me as the guy went down pretty danged quickly.
