My stainless Tikka T3 Lite 25-06 came with a couple of sling swivels in a small ziplock bag.

I CANNOT get the pin out of the swivel to install it on the sling stud!

I have got to be the densest person on this forum - but I see no way to move that pin - screwing/unscrewing makes no difference and pushing/pulling produces only the most minor amount of play.

What's the secret?

Like the these?

The pin just pulls out. You can push on the end of the pin to get it started. If stubborn, lean on it with a block of hardwood.

Yep, just like that. I'll try a short piece of 2x4 and my Leatherman.

Thanks!

Not to resurrect a 5 yr old thread but glad google sent me here. At first, pulling that pin was almost a fight for life with foul language involved! All is better now.
