my feet hurt looking at those, never again Here ya go. Under 60 bucks. Lightweight, durable, comfortable as heck once broken in. Easy to run in. Steel flexible plate in the tread. Takes a easy brush shine for appearance. Can clip a nice gerber dirk onto the upper band. Good hard high front tread profile, kick the fugg outta someones noggin or other choice areas. Good concentrated heel area seperate from the rest of the tread to foot stomp the fugg outta someones metatarsal foot bones. LEO types are basically at war nowadays at any given moment. You need a fighting boot . Not a glorified sneaker boot. JMO.....

Jungle boots when on hard surfaces suck!!!!!
They look cool, but need to be in the Jungle..
Really.... I heard from a friend.... Seem ta have been standard redesigned issue from the late 80,s world wide and thru desert storm and then on thru the 05 06 era... Seem ta have been standard issue for OIF 1, 2, and 3. Urban warfare and long approach marches on roads. Hmmm.. Never seen anyone do 25 milers ( gut check) either with full battle rattle and sustainment ruck. Never..... Just heard this all from a friend of course.... Never seen anyone like whole brigades and every swinging Richard in em wearing em. Heard that from a friend also. Never heard anyone complain about how they suck on hard pavement. Heard that from that same guy also. But then again your avg civilian has soft feet and no hardened heels or on the balls of their feet or their toe pads either. That probably goes for cops also. Anyone who has been in the light infantry knows they lose their hardened skin on the soles of their feet over time. Heard that from the same guy also. Mine are soft just like any soft foot average civilian or cop sitting idling in a car for most of his shift. No wonder the sneaker boots are so popular to the tender foot types. 😄😄😄

I'm ashamed to be a tenderfoot like joe average now. Wont even look at pair of sedentary sneaker boots.

Might want to put a more cushy insole in them though.

Today's Danners are by no means the boot they were 10 or 15 years ago. Lowas are how I roll these days. They're easily the best I've ever worn.

They’re made for torching grass huts. Hey man you remember bout 7 or 8 yrs ago when the clarksvegas pd cordorned off the 5 o 6 acres in the valley. Between my neighborhood and gratton rd. Looking for the wally world bandit soda bottle 1 step meth lab cooker supposedly in the woods??? Po Po all over the place. Walked down the street talked to a couple of em. Asked why they wasnt going in the woods to find the guy. I em told where fire ring sites were out their. Told em about the RR cut with rock overhang ledges and long term food garbage, heated up bulged soda bottles Ect ect ect Ticks and they didnt want ta get their boots muddy one of em said. I schitt you not..... Basically the woods are icky and not paved when we get outta our car to write a ticket attitude is what I got from it. Just like Tn wardens you cant get them fugga,s outta a truck even if ya offer to handrail em right into places. TFF!!

Any joe with a lick of sense buys em. The waffle sole insert is their only short coming. IMO.

My department (FD) gave us Warrington Pro boots but most guys bought Danner Acadia and the loggers out of pocket. The Warringtons got brought out on formal inspection days so we could all show we were wearing a safety toe boot.

As I recall there was just a leather type insole material. A pair of cotton socks next to the foot for absorption, pair of wool socks on the outside of the cotton ones and that was pretty much it for cushioning. We must have had tough feet back then. I still kind of do. I was exceptionally happy yesterday as it's finally not freezing all day, or so hot it's baking the ground, and I got to go across the (dry) creek to check my bees the way I like to.
