Reagan was the most conservative President we could get at that time but he was also a politician, having been governor of California. He compromised on some things I don't think he should have. Amnesty being one. He should have pushed harder for conservative issues.
Trump was THE person we needed at a time when we still need him. I hope the current resident of the White House and his minions screw things up so badly we can get Trump back in. I read Donald J Trump Jr has assumed a new leadership role in the family affairs. I think it was on Revolver News or Newsmax. This could be a good thing. I think he loves America as much as his dad and John Wayne did but has a little more polish. Not that we need polish. Trump is a fighter which is what we really need.
Trump was criticized incessantly for tweeting directly to the American public. Notice how many politicians now tweet to the public.

A lot of people criticized him but I liked that i got his words. Presidents before him said similar things in private but had a publicist clean it up before it went out. I didn't always agree with what he said but with Trump, we weren't just getting lip service from a publicist.
