Thanks for info. I will experiment with the few powders on hand, but so far that rifle seems to really like RE15.

My fieldcraft 308 is pushing 130 ttsx’s at 3150 with Tac I am consistently getting 1/2 inch groups. As far as shooting a bear with one I wouldn’t hesitate. I killed one last fall with a 120 ttsx out of a 7-08.

Thanks, MD. One of my specialized deer rifles is an 18 inch M1A that I favor for the type of desert mule deer hunting I do. A 130 gr. TTSX puts four rounds into 1.5 MOA or less over 46.3 grs. of TAC with mil spec brass. Nice to know it works so well on cow elk. E

Very good info. I worked up a load with 130 TTSX in my 308 this winter. 3000 ft/sec and subMOA. I was thinking primarily deer but I really like that gun for everything. Might have to give that combo a go on elk this fall.
