I don’t wanna get shot with one, I laughed because I knew there was a joke in there somewhere. Lmao

I guess you didn’t know any better?

Perhaps I misunderstood ya, they are tiny but can be very lethal.

Just a freaking Maverick 88. $250.

We ought to start a fund to buy that man something better, even of he can himself. We finally have someone stepping up to these punks. He should be admired for that!

Can’t argue with the results, that little gun got the guy that he was pointing it out to put up his hands. That’s the idea I think, get out alive by any means possible. Every firearm is a compromise, and that’s what he compromised with, something tiny and concealable, it worked.

My point was to show what type of gun the good guy was betting his life on.

Looks like a NAA Mini Revolver.

700LH is an "expert" at using the tiny gun
LMAO

Not a expert you fugging idiot, but I have dispatched half dozen or so big critters, a 100 pound dog and a few rattlesnakes with one. Only the snakes took more than one bullet.

BIG CRITTERS? Is that what you call 60+ y/o VAG? LMAO

Hows about a spine shot elk?

Can anyone point to exactly where this guy and his little gun failed to handle the situation? Most folks do not want to be shot.

Yep. Stopping power isn't great, but a .22 can mess you up pretty bad, and can be lethal.

No, I'm not advocating a Bowie knife instead of a gun. A sword, maybe.... :P

A jar with a harmless rat snake or garter snake in it will cause them to lose their scheet too.

That's freakin' great! laugh Imagine... your concealed deadly weapon..... "is that a snake in your pocket, or are you just glad to see me?"

22 caliber is nothing to sneeze at. I used to coon hunt allot and the season ran after our deer season. We found quite a few wounded deer that needed to be put down. I always carried a Ruger MKII with the target barrel. Never shot one more than once, in the head at 10 yards most of the time. I remember reading that during the Olympic games that were held in Atlanta years ago there was armed security among the spectators and they were armed with the Ruger MKII.

If ya dont think small holes hurt..... get a splinter in your finger!

More people killed with a .22lr each year than any other caliber.

I'm not so much "opposed" to it being a .22. I'm not really "opposed" to the guy's gun choice at all, just thinkin' it ain't a great choice because it's a teensy, tiny, hard-to-manipulate, forget-about-reloading, single action.

Heck, he could be REALLY good with the thing, I don't know.

Kinda my thought as well. Use what you got. Friend of mine was a Pinal County Deputy Sheriff. He said lots of gang bangers get gut shot with a 22 and they almost always die. Little bullet bounces around in there and does lots of damage before it stops. Might take three or four days.

BLM leaves without harming anyone or doing serious damage to the place.

Win-Win!

It might not be my first choice for a gun, but it served its purpose.

I’d say so.

May have already been mentioned, looks to me like a North American Arms 22mag. A buddy of mine has had one in his front pocket everyday for last 25 years.

I must say I'm disappointed that fellow's choice of a personal weapon. He might be the only person in the state that would try that. Either he's really good with it, or he depends on a great poker face. I guess it's better than a sharp stick.

You can laugh all you want, but you don't wanna get a load of that little NAA 22 magnum I carry. It may not be the only thing I have on me, but you can bet your sweet ass if I've got my britches on, I've got it.

At least the old dude was packing. And made it out of there alive.

I for one, had I been in the same situation, would have felt a little more comfortable with my Sig P365 and 13 rounds of Speer Gold Dot + P ammo.

The VERY few times I leave the residence with a small pocket pistol, it’s my Ruger LCP 380 with Speer Gold Dot HP ammo, and two spare mags for it in my other pocket.
And that’s usually when I’m carrying out the trash late at night. 🤠

I owned one of those NAA Mini Mag Revolvers years ago. I bought it for carrying in the pocket of my fishing inner tube for snakes. Loaded with CCI Rat shot, it was ok for water snakes at point blank range.

But I’d damn sure hate to depend on one in a gun fight. Heaven help the old dude if he had needed to reload.
The article did mention that some of the BLM “protesters” were also armed.
