Sounds like a good deal. Must be a lot of Bear in that area.
I've often thought of looking into a bear trapping/hunting trip in Maine.

I’ll pm you Roger’s number. Best time to get ahold of him is between 6 and 8 pm. I shot a moose with him last fall. It was a fantastic hunt. Called him right in.

They run about the same as Ontario I have personally shot a 360 which is my best to date several 280-300 and a couple of smaller ones that were no braggers. I was in camp a few years ago and a guy from Pennsylvania shot a 430, a beauty. Then there is the guys that blast the first bear they see and go home with a 100 pounder. If they are happy with that then so be it.

They bait with sweets in plastic barrels jammed full of logs to make the bear work for their dinner offering time to judge and giving the hunter shot opportunity.

The bear that I got I had a full body mount done with it It stands 5 feet 4 inches tall and is not standing fully upright. It is sometimes tough to give a across the board answer I have seen 250 pound butter balls and I have seen Long and lanky bears also. I prefer the spring hunts over the later fall hunts due to the fact the coats are much Softer and denser than the ones that I have shot in the fall in other places
