IIRC, it's a 'B' litter so how about Bauer, Ben, Bernard, Beck, Branson, Brant, Bridger, Bruno, Brücker, Budde, Butch, or if all else fails go with Max.
Pursuit may be, it seems to me, perfect without possession. Robert Kelley Weeks (1840-1876)

Stay away from Remmy, Ruger and Winny. At the club a guy called for his dog Remmy and 10 dogs came running.

The name will come to you when you see the pup. We rescued a Redbone Coonhound puppy who's name was Willy. We took one look at him and thought "Duke" and it fits him perfectly.

Major, Sarge, Thor, Duke, Gunther, Drax, Zeus, Waylon, Boss, Chief, Amos, Mick, Everett, Woody, Walker, Boudroux, Preacher, Deacon.... boy names are easier than girls in my experience. Agree with above that it will come to you after seeing the dog. Sometime’s think about the registered name and pull their call name from there.
Ex.- “Spotshooter’s Game Warden”.... call him Warden or Ward.

I always joked that when we dropped the last one off at college, we were going to get three pups and name them Zing, Boom, and Tararrel.
I don't think I'm up for triplets anymore though.
My current dogs are Flash, which is short for Flashman; and Lola, also a character from the Flashman novels. My hunting buddy's dog is Rudi, again from the same novels.

I like the German name idea - it’s a Drathaar male so that is all good!
I like the Norse names as well, like Rick I’ll wait to see what fits best when the pup gets here.
There are some great names coming in....thanks!

Is “LARRY” easy to yell when he’s chasing a bird across the road ?
BTW - I damn near got coke (cola) up my nose the other day - I was walking my dog, and saw a dog running into the neighboring golf course, and a guy was following him yelling “SEEMOR”.... “SEEMOOR Come here”.... SEEMOOR... LOL

Caldonia. Cal for short. Like the old Louis Jordan tune.
"Walking with my baby she got great big feet. She long, lean, lanky and ain't had nothing to eat."
"Caldonia! Caldonia! What makes your big head so hard?"

Had a dog a few years back that should have been named "Retreat". Thought that would have been fun to yell repeatedly.

"Fido," a good All American name. L.W.

Wife and I are mostly Norwegian. Pup is ~18Mo old. We named him "Venn" which is Norwegian for "Friend". 1 syllable, doesn't sound like any common commands, doesn't sound like any other dog's names. I avoid dog names with a long "E" sound @ the end because there are so many IE: Buddy, Murphy, Remmy, etc, etc, etc.
I can walk on water.......................but I do stagger a bit on alcohol.

if I have another female dog she will be named Karma if only so I can say "bad Karma" while house breaking her. Its also easy to yell and doesn't sound like any other dog commands.
If you can't be a good example, may you at least serve as a dreadful warning
