A grizzled old trapper was rooting around in the woods looking for a trap he had forgotten to retrieve at the end of the previous season...
Digging under a windfall he found an ornate corked glass bottle.
seeing as the digging was thirsty work he decided to take his chances and pulled the cork.
Loans behold out popped a genie who offered to grant him one wish.
The old trapper said:
"I want to live forever,"
To which the Genie replied"
"I'm afraid everlasting life is a prohibited wish."
"Fine," says the trapper, "then I want to live until after Congress gets their heads out of their tookis!"
"You crafty bastard!" says the genie...
