HS-6 and Unique are the two powders I use in 9mm, don't find either to be excessively dirty. Unique is the only powder I use in .44 Magnum having long ago settled upon the Skeeter Skelton load of 7.5 gr. with a 200 gr. RNFP lead bullet.

HS-6 is a powder I use for my 44mag. in my home cast 280 SWC. 12.5grs gives me 1100fps from the 7 1/2" bbl of my Ruger revolver. Accurate , & very manageable. 14 grs is listed as max.

Adopted SR 4756 for light loads. Manufacturer discontinued it.

Switched to HS 6. It works well for me all the way to 12 gr with a 210 in the 41. But that is not sub 800 fps. I typically use Tite Group or Universal in the ultra light loads these days.

I enjoy shooting 41 specials in my revolvers, I like the GT Bullets 215 grain LSWCHP, I run them 950-1000 fps as it's a softer lead bullet.

Been running 14.5 grains of 2400. Might give HS-6 a try as I have a unopened 1 lb can.
