The Becker BK9 is one of my bigger blades. Bowie inspired. Handle design keeps your hand from slipping up on the blade. Hey MM, where did you get the handles for the Becker Necker? They're not on their website at this time

LINKThe Brits developed and issued this knife to their special forces during WWII. More accurately William Ewart Fairbairn developed that knife, based upon his remarkably numerous affays during his more than two decades serving in the Shanghai Municipal Police. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_E._FairbairnHe also wrote a manual on how to use it as in where to stick and cut folks with it which used to be available on the ‘net but IIRC was taken down by request of his descendants. Fortunately our own Rex Applegate was far less circumspect about self-promotion and borrowed freely from Fairbairn.... https://www.amazon.com/Combat-Use-Double-edged-Fighting-Knife/dp/0873647351

We got another couple ready!
Wife traded a half for a root canal of all things.....
Had ribs in the crockpot again last night. Might be my favorite meal. Meat, fat, and marrow from the rib bones. It'd be worth it just for an animal worth of ribs.

Caint unnastan the suggestions for a folder. Great for an EDC, but for a stabby, cutty situation, Shirley would not *choose* a folder.

I make a lot of non folder knife handles, but I cannot carry them in WA state. What do you mean you cant carry them? From: https://knifeup.com/washington-knife-laws/Conclusion on Washington State Knife Laws It is illegal to own a switchblade or other spring blade knife in the state of Washington. It is illegal to conceal carry a dirk, dagger, or other dangerous weapon. It is legal to open carry any type of weapon, so long as it is not carried in a way that may cause others alarm. ============= Bruce

A couples of bleeders/splitails that I arrested years ago used Chicago Cutlery on their men. Nothing fancy.

Turn loose some of that cattle Baron money and get one made.
Plenty of guys on here that’ll fix you right up.

I make a lot of non folder knife handles, but I cannot carry them in WA state. What do you mean you cant carry them? In WA law, one can carry a fixed blade knife if not concealed...but the law is vague and the appearance of the sheath cannot be threatening. But any WA local municipality can make any knife law. A fishing knife in a sheath on your belt violates many different laws as one drives down the freeway to go fishing. Under the Seattle Municipal Code, it is illegal to carry any fixed-blade knife, including a dagger, sword, bayonet, bolo knife, hatchet, axe or straight razor, with a blade longer than 3 1/2 inches.Jul 2, 2014But there are 281 cities in WA state and the worst are the suburbs of Seattle that can be 90% liberal. There are no local gun laws that superseded WA concealed carry. So I can carry a handgun but not a fishing fillet knife. I have folder knives that are 3.5" blade for WA, and other knives for hunting out of state.

This thread makes Mr. Bagwell's passing even sadder. The knowledge he took with him won't be shared.

I know there are a few SF guys on here who have much more knowledge and maybe even real world experience. But the CRKT or similar with hilts IMO would work but what do I know.lol I was a prison guard in Wisconsin for many years and compared to most states we have minimal amounts of stabbings. Guys seem to do okay with sharpened toothbrushes. I am not a trained edge weapon expert but there is more to using a knife then just stabbing. Slicing tendons to incapacitate depending on the circumstances. Legs ,wrist, elbow areas etc Something that keeps your hand from sliding up the blade. Slippery when wet.
