Glock's field knives are pretty bad ass.
Not kidding. I love them.
Sub-$50. I purchased one to play with, it was rubbish so a mates kids got it to throw around and stick in the ground.
These are my opinions, feel free to disagree.

An old buddy who had spent a good many years in the U.S. Navy told me all he ever needed to work his way out of countless bar brawls in ports all over the world was just a small 2 blade Case jackknife, and even then he said he only used no more than a 1/2" of a blade tip.
He said, "All you gotta do is just show them their own blood and they move out of your way REAL quick".
That reminds me of reading of a long ago interview a reporter had with Rezin Bowie, who reportedly actually designed the original "Bowie" knife. He asked Rezin why he was still alive after having so many knife fights?" Bowie answered, "Well, once't they got to walkin' on their guts, the fight was over." Makes sense to me. L.W.

Great story LW ! They used to have one of Rezin Bowie’s knifes on display at the Alamo. It’s been a few years since I’ve been there. Don’t know if it’s still on display or not.

That looks good. Good looking guard. I have the larger Buck 120,which is much the same only with a 7.5" blade. The phenolic handles are kinda slippery, especially when bloody.

I'd be tempted to go Crocodile Dundee, "That's not a knife. This is a knife!" Sorry I don't have a picture.

MI has some troubling laws regarding the concealed carry or vehicle transport of fixed blade knives. It looks like they apply mainly to double edged knives. Several cities have more restrictive knife laws. Seems clear as mud. The situation looks ripe for selective enforcement.
An aside: Do you guys really carry those large knives? Are they uncomfortable? Full disclosure: my edc knife is a 2-3 inch folder that gets used often, but most commonly to open packages.

So....what would make a good stabby cutty slashy knife be?
Got to thinking the other day....my Old Timers and Leathermans wouldn't be much good in a real stabby type situation.
Guess I am worried about my hand slipping forward.
Anyone recommend a good stabby slashy knife? Small Spyderco.
These are my opinions, feel free to disagree.

I’ve carried this old Japan mfg Spyderco for over 20 years as my everyday knife. The serrated part of the blade worked great for the twine on hay bales when feeding cows. It’s also gutted countless deer and hogs. I keep it razor sharp with the Spyderco ceramic sticks sharpening system. Always figured it would be pretty good for stabbing, too, if I ever ran out of ammo. 🤠

No wonder why I like the 119.......I had one in the dang closet. Wonder how you could stipple the handle? Sharp soldering iron??

Don’t know how that might work on a Buck knife handle, but my cousin used his soldering iron to stipple the grip of his Glock. It actually turned out pretty well.

I honestly don't/haven't used my 120 for much. I've used my little 102 woodsman some for dressing game but the 120 is too big. If I were going to try to texture the handle I'd use a small ball cutter in a foredom/moto tool and do it up like a jigged bone handle.

Clearly of Elvin make. I bet it glows in proximity to orks and goblins. "elven" That's a Buck Cunnilingus. It's more slashy than stabby. Cunnilingus...Lol! I know what's on your mind. Buck Kalinga.
