Thinking something with a pretty good guard on it.

I have several fixed blade hunting knives....but they have very little guard on them.

Or....whatever the part of the knife is called that keeps your hand from sliding forward onto the cutty slashy part.

The Brits developed and issued this knife to their special forces during WWII.

That would be pretty awesome to have a handmade blade from BGG.

You probably already have some basic style in mind, but here are a few that I have.

I've had these two, Gerber and KA-BAR for a while. Both inspired by classic Bowie knife, and Fairbairn-Sykes knives.

This is something a little different, a karambit style. A very deliberate fighting weapon. In a closed fist grip it isn't going anywhere, and with basic punching technique delivers serious wounds. It will slash also.

Pffft!
Alla these puny toothpick shavers.
You gotta remember it’s Big Jim asking.
He needs a knife befitting his size.

Get one of these, and sharpen the taper, that runs up the spine. I did that for a pig sticker......anticipating a pig hunt in Texas, someday soon.

The Becker BK9 is one of my bigger blades. Bowie inspired. Handle design keeps your hand from slipping up on the blade.
