East Indian joints in Abu Dhabi down below our apt. complex. Plywood tables, flies everywhere, but we ate there and ordered delivered a lot. Fried rice was usually safe, still got poisoning every couple months.

KFC / Taco Bell in Cynthiana, KY. Went in there one night and the floor was covered with greasy mop water. Like walking on melting ice. And STANK...

Small camp cookshack in Yellowknife in the late 70's -- got food poisoning from breakfast. Drank a big bottle of warm coke fast to get rid of most of the crap. Next work trip up I would only have coffee and ate snacks for the week. Watch the cook with cigarette ashes hanging over the food, flies and old grease. Life lesson.

I had to wear shorts pants because of my poison ivy rash on my legs.

The flies were so bad that they swarmed on my legs.
It was worse than a public out house. Had to get out of there.

Taco John's in Chamberlain, SD, and the Popeye's in Rapid City, SD.

Both were absolutely disgusting.
The common denominator was both were staffed by Tonto's, give the groids a run for the money.

KFC in Hillsboro, Oregon right across the street from Intel. Food on the tables, floor, kitchen floor, and just a frigging mess that hadn't been cleaned in hours. Had to walk out instead of ordering- just didn't trust the food would be safe judging by the interior of the place. Only time I've ever done it, but I called the place and chewed on the manager's butt because the place was so disgusting.....

When I was an electrical contactor, we did a lot of restaurants and I really enjoyed the work. Owners were always really nice , contractors I worked for knew I would do a good job for them, and always got paid on time. But, some of these restaurant owners had no concept of keeping a place clean. Greek restaurants were always the worst. Food all over the floor, grease on the walls and floor in the kitchens, sometimes that looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. And always cockroaches everywhere. Cured me of ever eating at a Greek restaurant again.....

I went to the men's room to wash up before ordering.
I just wanted to get coffee, but the men's room looked like a queer convention met there.

I complained to the limp wristed manager about it and his staff member, young white gal yelled at him and told him " that she told him so and no way she's cleaning that filth!!!"

I won't eat in a dirty joint either. The worst place I ever walked out of was an Asian place in St. Paul. It was raining hard outside and water was running down suspended lamp cords and the bulbs were exploding over the buffet.

Neighbors house!! The daughter was afraid to turn on the kitchen lights in the middle of the night to get a drink; roaches everywhere. I saw a frozen roach in the freezer, it was pretty bad!!

The family enjoyed the "dinner" there.

At a drillsite cafeteria outside of Usinsk,Russia. We had a local that made soup on our worksite in a big kettle over a fire.We have him our sack lunches every day and paid him 10k rubles a month and he made us a pretty good soup every day. The sack lunches the company paid 20 dollars each for were not edible.Was told not to ask what was in the soup and spit the bones out the window.
