First time in about 15 years I didn't draw. Not a deer or elk. Even my kids with 1 preference point to their name prior to the draw, and youth preference, didn't draw in a deer unit that requires one point. I'm thinking Covid got some people itching to get outside and give hunting a try. Going to be some crowded woods this fall. OTC here we come.

drew area 5 either sex first season elk with my boy, also scored a late season deer and antelope tags for 105 at home....

Swing and a miss for me... evidently it takes at least 15 points to draw a 61 archery tag these days. Maybe next year.

Just put in for points for elk. That brings me to 24 now. Got 18 for deer.

Good job on those of you scoring tags. I always wanted to hunt the Grand Mesa, never got there. My oldest friend from kindergarten still lives in Grand Junction, and my old mentor from Grand County now lives in Paonia.
