No jewelry since high school and no watch since I started wearing a pager (and later a cell phone) almost 30 years ago.

Used to wear my wedding ring and a watch. Got tired of catching stuff or pinching my finger between stuff and my ring. Liked wearing it, but no more. Hell on watch bands, and watches. Got a Wenger dive watch that has lasted quite a few years, really like it. But the band is beat to crap, pretty much quit wearing it too. Other than that, eyeglasses. No jewelry, no piercings, no tats.
Weird, eh. Nope. Sounds pretty normal to me. Me too.
Parents who say they have good kids..Usually don't!

About the only guy I ever met who pulled off the big oversized gold chain look, was a guy down in Florida. My wife and I were out by the pool and this guy came running up to us because he heard our accents. Turns out he had retired from a coal tipple operation a few counties to the east of us, and recognized accents from home.
Guy was a stereotypical Florida white trash transplant - big beer belly, bad teeth, skin cancer tan, duck-ass mullet. And a big gold chain halfway to his belly button.
But the guy was so friendly and outgoing, no attitude, and so genuinely happy to be living the good life, that the gold chain worked on him. You could tell the guy was living his version of paradise. Zero fucqks given.

I have no idea where my wedding ring is. Probably in my wife's jewelry box. I haven't even seen it in at least 15 years. Quit wearing a watch about 8 years ago - it was always getting hung up when I was handling airline baggage. My wife bought me a new one a few months ago. It lasted about 2 weeks before it was busted- if I even was wearing it. I don't miss it at all. Bling piercings on a pretty girl is a turn-off to me. On a homely one, it just doesn't matter. On guys, it's just plain disgusting. A small discrete tat on a gal's ankle or shoulder doesn't bother me- bigger ones do. Massive tats on anyone makes me suspect poor self image. (That ain't my problem either way....  ) YMMV, and it's their choice and just my opinion. After my cataract surgery some years ago, all I need is drug store readers. And man, do I go through those things! Loss, breakage, and "just can't find a pair of the damned things". Got a helluva a deal at Walgreens Friday. Buy one pair at $9, get two pair free. I scored 6, to go with the half dozen pairs already to be found somewhere around the house, in the garage, and in both vehicles. And I still spend an inordinate amount of time looking for a pair....probably need glasses.

I don't need a wedding ring to remind me of my marital status, and the timex wrist watch went away when the cell phone went into my pocket.

Just The two elk ivories from my 2010 bull on a piece of hemp cord around my neck. Very simple. Just holes drilled Through the roots with the cord run thru it. Does that count?

Even my wedding band is just silicone.
Almost de-gloved years ago. Silicone beats taking it off and on when I'm in the shop.

I don't even wear a watch since breaking the last one when I went over the bars on my quad about 10 years ago.
4 out of 5 Great Lakes prefer Michigan.
