The dumbing down of the education system has been going on for multiple decades. That cancer has ruptured at the epidermis level and is weeping puss profusely....

Odd man out here I reckon. Why would anyone ever need either, unless you wanted to work in Greece or Latonia? Everyone knows the only thing that really matters about those schools are the ilumni.
English and much of the modern world languages are Latin based languages. Thus, having a strong Latin background provides an excellent background for language. Plus, for majoring in Classical Studies it is almost necessary to read it in the original language in order to understand some of the subtleties. having read it the original tongue lends a certain "gravitas" to your knowledge.  )

You really Odyssey them. Now, I am a bit confused. How does on 'center" something "around" anything. Is that really geometric, or is it "upon"?? Do Aeneid added confusion?
