Years ago I fished with a group that fished for sharks. Mainly in Galveston. I used a 6/0 and 16/0. We used Dacron backing on the big reels because the mono stretched so bad. I was told but never saw it happen that the mono would crush the spool. We fished off the Pleasure pier in Galveston and made a few trips to Bob Hall in the late 60’s. The Pleasure pier finally restricted shark fishing. Too many caught. Chamber of commerce though is was bad publicity. If remember correctly Bob Hall restricted reel size. Hasbeen No not on bob hall, you can use any size reel, its still closed right now, the last hurricane tore the T off the end and did a lot of damage they're going to tear it down and build a new one. I use Braid on my reels now, biggest Is my pen international 80w 2 speed, it's got over 2000 yards of 150# power pro.

this is one of two of the hooks that pulled on the shark I'd hooked in the pic, never could slow it down, only had about 200 of the 1700 yards of line left on the reel when both hooks pulled. damn. imagine the shark that could do that

look at that gut. Hasn't seen his dick in a decade ! I think the grinder app would be more appropriate for a pillow biter like you. Sexually harassing Roger? shame on you!

That is much bigger than my Penn 113 Senator series. I dont saltwater with it. I used to use it for flathead catfish in the brush in The WIsconsin River. I set the drag with a pliers.
