My response to the OP is to leave the old guy alone. I'm coming up on that age and also have some balance problems, I fall down from time to time.
If my kids ever try to restrict my freedom, I'll transfer my direct deposits to some bank in Montana, get in my truck and not even say goodbye.

the old lady just called he's walking around naked.

It might for sure be time to do something to help him out.

The mother in law is in AZ so she is on her own.

She has breast cancer that has moved to her bones.

High blood pressure and thyroid problems.

But al least there she is not bored.

We built a add on to her room here spent about 24,000 and she has stayed almost 2 months.

3 weeks at a time.

Good luck with the hard decisions ahead.

At least get an explanation before jumping to any conclusions. Sounds odd, but then you've told a few stories that make me think anything is possible ;-)

I truly hope you have better luck Roger. My Dad was admitted into the hospital today with a large mass in his colon.

"Oh, I'm ok" doesn't always mean they are. Especially with that generation...

I know. We only found out about the cancer because he missed an appointment and the dr office called, otherwise he'd wouldn't have told us.

Well, he fell again Sunday afternoon, hit the back of his head on the tile, small half-inch cut but bleed a lot. Delia took him to both his regular dr and his cancer dr, they said to take him to the ER to get a cat scan. Pissed at my brother who is an RN, couldn't make time on his day off to go with him.

Hang tight Roger.

I was lucky, even though I lived next door to my dad at the time and spent a lot of time helping him my only sister who lived 15 miles away would always help if I couldn't. My job might have me 4hrs away at any time and sometimes 16hrs.
