Recently picked up a Fourtrax 300. Works great, good unit.

It has a switch on the light panel that I have no idea what it does. Guy I bought it from had no idea either. If it’s aftermarket, whoever put it on did a good job. I’ve searched pics on the ‘net and I don’t think it’s from the factory, but I might be wrong. Hoping someone here might have a suggestion. I’d rather not take the panel apart to trace the wires if I don’t have to.

Here’s a pic.

Not uncommon on those Honda's for the headlight switch to melt the contacts and quit working.

My guess would be headlights or possibly auxiliary lights that have been removed. Any wires you can follow?

I'd guess hand warmers, I put a switch exactly like that one to control the hot grips on my wife's Rancher. You could always turn it on and see what happens.

That's ok, I'll ass shoot a dink.

Thanks for the responses. Finally got frustrated yesterday and just pulled the switch out. It's not connected to anything. Someone else suggested it might be fan control as some of these units came with cooling fans.

I think I'm just going to use the hole to mount a 12v adaptor.
