Anyone shoot a Henry single shot and have a rail mounted to it? I can't seem to find the proper number to order.

Henry EGW Picatinny Rail (H015 Series Single Shots)
HEGWH15PR
$ 26.95

Look on their site under parts. The rear sight has to be taken off to install the rail

Saw the video they sent out links for of testing the 350 Legend single shot. That one had this rail on it I think, and the rear sight was still on it. But the guy used awful high rings, and a leather cheekpiece pad to get scope alignment.
Seems like low rings would work fine, as high as that rail is in the first place. No point in having the scope bell 3" off the barrel.

The one I shot had a rail marked Henry and the rear sight was still on it. The scope does have to sit up fairly high in order to get to the hammer, even with a hammer spur. The comb on the stock is also very low...great for iron sights but not so much with a scope. I had to use a bearthooth products comb raising kit to get a cheekweld.

Scopes with big honkin’ eyepieces might be an issue when mounted low. By all means get the hammer spur sold by Henry.

If you look at the Henry SS, the hammer (when down) extends up above the receiver and the barrel a fair little bit. Low rings won't clear it. Of note, if you use rings that sit the scope close to the hammer when it's down, it may hit when falling as it arcs higher than were it sits when down.

I had the following 3 products on mine. I can't remember which rings (sorry), but they were a high ring. I didn't spend a lo of time with it but it was a very accurate and nice looking rifle. If I were to do it again I'd like to try a ghost ring sight with it as the stock is really set up for iron sights and I prefer a ghost ring to open sights. Hope this helps,

Yup, I did the same. Beartooth comb raising kit and higher rings. I could not find a different way to do it.
