Just got back from a mini road trip with a few brothers and family up to Oregon to visit some friends for the fourth. Took the slow road stopping here and there off the beaten path. One of the highlights for me was the Erikson aircraft collection in Madras OR. There was a gentleman there giving us some of the rundown and stories on the planes. I believe he said most if not all planes there are still active and flown for special occasions or even a customer with deep pockets.. I’ve always thought these planes are cool as hell and to be able to walk right up to them with no barriers or hassle was awesome. Pretty amazing machines and we sure did crank them out how to have a strong mentality She never made it past the bedroom door, what was she aiming for...? She's gone shootin..

Clean, not crowded,and just pure badass to be able to walk around and pore over those planes. Also had several engines on display. There are several ramps leading from the water to an abandoned airfield on the North end of Eagle Mtn Lake. For a time, we had an air museum here too, called the Pate Museum. I’m not sure if it’s still operational? It may have moved to the southern end of Meacham Field. Make Gitmo Great Again!! Who gave the order to stop counting votes in the swing states on the night of November 3/4, 2020?

The old Patternmaker that taught me much of what I think I know about machining was allowed to go there and work on the machines. He made a lot of parts for them. He was restoring a 1903 Cadillac and he'd made parts for the one they had.
