My father wrote a piece published in Alaska Magazine in the early '90s IIRC, about Chistochina Lodge and Red James. Just looked on line and found his obit. http://www.sagchip.org/news.aspx?newsid=2253#.Y-ubp6ROmk8He took a Fed job for the Parks Jimmy screwed over Alaska with... and got beaten by a group taking exception to his position.

More than once Red played the guitar while I was there... and I remember "Silver Wings" with his very young grandson.
