Some ‘Christians’ are so much more concerned with homosexuals than even other homosexuals are...! Times change, and people change...like it or not. Studies show that Americans nowadays, and particularly American Christians nowadays, are more accepting of homosexuality than in the past. There is a difference between accepting and encouraging. A majority of U.S. Christians now say that homosexuality should be accepted by society.
Serving people one doesn't see eye to eye with has been a hallmark of Christianity since the beginning of Christianity. Jesus died for a world that He didn't see eye to eye with. Christian prison ministries serve murderers who are unrepentant. But some ‘Christians’ wouldn’t even think of doing the same for homosexuals. There’s a ton of double standards.
Do Christian businesses (bakers, for example) interrogate potential wedding clients to make sure that all of their behavior is compatible with the Bible...? Nope; they’d be out of business if they did. Jesus taught that if a person is divorced and gets remarried, it's adultery. If ‘Christians’ don't have a problem doing business with divorced people getting remarried, then why do they refuse to do business with homosexuals...?
If ones personal faith and belief in The Messiah is threatened by what others say or believe...in this instance by the gay community, and by those who don’t see eye to eye with some evangelical Christians on this matter...then maybe the problem isn't with what others say or believe. Very well said Antlers. Folks like HC don't see that their behavior is more likely to drive people away from Christ than to him. That's not in keeping with Christ's charge. Have you read the Bible? Christ clearly tells people not to sin. The Bible states homosexuality is a sin (1+1 = 2).

"It is better for him if a millstone is hung around his neck and he is thrown into the sea, than that he may cause one of these little ones to sin." Luke 17:2 "You snakes, you offspring of vipers, how will you escape the sentence of hell" Mat 23:33 The Bible itself condemns sin. It condemns those who defend sin. "Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil" Isa 5:20. Quoting the Bible is a core of being Christian.

The problem I see with the sodomy movement is that unlike other "sins" it has a "pride movement" behind it and a political agenda being pushed by people intent on destroying our country by destroying its religion which is Christianity. You can preach the gospel to a murderer, adulterer, drunk or whatever else but you can't to a homosexual lest you be called "homophobic" or "hateful". You can't lead him to ask forgiveness because he is being indoctrinated with the idea that he is not wrong and can find a church to accommodate him, even make him a pastor! Since the Bible takes a stand against it, it is therefore "homophobic and hateful" and down the road is liable to be cancelled for that reason or at the very least have some pages ripped out. "Queen James" version of the Bible anyone?
Under pressure, it seems many churches are punting on it as are many weak Christians who want to go along to get along. It is true that Jesus "died for people he didn't see eye to eye with" but he darn well gave them an earful up to the day they drove the nails. He wasn't a coward who feared men and we as his followers should not be either.
God help us. That's all I can say. You can twist this stuff like a pretzel but you will never make it right.

I think most people here see through campers schtick and realize that he is a charlatan with an antivax/naturopathic agenda … and is likely remunerated for his incessant links to notsobright.com and the nutty preacher.

Then you agree the Bible teaches Homosexuality is a sin. How do you feel about gluttony? Do you have friends who are gluttons? And you still keep their company? Proverbs28:7 7 A discerning son heeds instruction, but a companion of gluttons disgraces his father. Do you ever succumb to the temptation to overeat a bit? And 23:2 2 and put a knife to your throat if you are given to gluttony. So, should we go about berating all the chubbies we see, denying them service at bakeries and such? Closing the buffet line at China King when we see the carload of overweight folks arrive?
