We used to have a deer “camp” for Texas that means you. A. Drive right to it but growing up it was just me my dad his buddy and his son. No generator, buckets to flush. Just lanterns and Coleman stove.
The 4 of us sitting around a fire Playing dominoes usually.
When it was bed time we would all get in our beds and sleep like a baby.



I also like when your dropping a routine deuce and you hit a gas pocket that red Adair would have trouble with. When you stand up you have to grab another belt hole

But if one asks about my favorite aroma. A bright April morning and the sun is shining brightly onto the saddle horses still in their shaggy winter coats. I love to walk up beside the horse and shove my nose right into that shoulder hair and inhale deeply.

Takes me right back sixty years to my first pony, and all the wonderful horses in my life since.
