My best friend retired and moved to Idaho about twenty years ago. He married a girl that he met in Galveston on vacation. Her father owns a couple of hundred thousand acres in California and half of Southey Idaho.
He is one miserable MF now.
All he can talk about is the good old days...being poor in South Texas.
The only thing worse than a liberal is a liberal that thinks they're a conservative.

It seriously made me want to go to Walmart, get the cheapest rod/reel combo I could find(preferably something like Barbie doll pink or Barney purple), buy $2 worth of nightcrawlers, use a plain old red and white bobber and a pack of hooks, go sit in the middle of them on a bucket and catch a mess of rainbows to blow their minds! Beautiful. Once caught a big one on a Snoopy pole.

Fly fishing is a consumer sport, except for the winter steelhead fishermen who ply the Ho, Sol Duc, and other rivers on the Olympic Peninsula. Frozen line guides and gloves usually sends the faint at heart elsewhere.

While that's obviously not the governor of ID, he has some very good points. CA imports have destroyed OR and WA and they're making inroads in a number of other states, including ID. We sure don't need them.
