Midway offers me a Bday discount every year. I find something every year for myself or family.

I bought Shooting Sticks last year for my Son and a Cousin year before last.

I always thank them.

Jerry

PS: Sorry.... Happy B Day

I admit that is one nasty looking "fmj" load. This is based on amateur Utube videos, of course. Perhaps with certain type of testing this ammo would perform more like jhp. It is probably worth $2 per box than most fmj loads.

From what I've seen, those bullets expand, but not as well as Federal HST and Gold Dot.

I've recently picked up some Lehigh Defense 68 gr and Sig/Sierra 124's to load. I've also ordered Rocky Mtn Reloading 9mm bullets that they are now making in house. By selling direct, they are a lot less expensive, but it takes a while for them to fill orders due to demand. I've not seen performance data on them, but from what I've read, they're pretty good. Price is right, for sure.

I've bought a couple thousand CCI Blazer 9mms since picking up a Springfield RO in 9mm. Half were brass, and half were aluminum (so I don't have to chase that good brass for awhile). The gun seems to like them just fine, and the cases just roll out of the slide and hit the ground at 4 o'clock about 5 feet out. I've been shooting the dickens out of this Range Officer, trying to bring back some muscle memory from bygone days. It's been a lot of fun. Mostly, I'm shooting the throw-away aluminum stuff, and will hang onto the brass cases for reloading.
9mms are kinda fun to fool with, and I've always thought highly of the 1911 platform, but they work well in my M&P 9mm, too.

I'm gonna have to round up some primers and some HS-6 sooner or later, until then, I'm gonna shoot this Blazer stuff and be happy doing it.

You can roll a turd in peanuts, dip it in chocolate, and it still ain't no damn Baby Ruth.
