Come to learn it was a pangolin. Never heard of it at that time. Not sure he had ever seen a human before. It is irrelevant what you think. What matters is the TRUTH.

After nine years of stalking, snooping and pooping I finally connected with a nice bull. I think Papa Hemingway wrote something in I believe it was Green Hills Of Africa about this. I’ll never top that evening. The stars simply aligned right. I’ve seen many nilgai since making this shot. Some might have been better. But I doubt I’d ever be able to match the shot. Gorgeous hide and had plans to have a robe made. Freezer unknowingly died and I didn’t discover it for about a month. Salvaged the claws as best I could. The nail slipped from the bone. Got crafty and filled them with silicone and some black paint. Found a nice hunk of driftwood to hollow and make into a base. Welded up a stand and added some led lighting and it turned out pretty good IMO.
