I lost a similar one of long years to cancer just yesterday.
There’s a song by Ray Price, Roger Miller and others named “Old Friends “. Hearing it nowadays takes on a deeper meaning.

A short time back, I posted about my friend Ed. The family had Dr s turn off life support. Ed is dead. I miss the daily calls as he headed home from work! My heart goes out to his family. I have known Ed since he was15 and dating a good friends daughter. Ed married that girl and they have been together since high school! Ed has been a hunting, fishing buddy, and always there when needed! He will be missed by all those who's life he touched! RIP Ed! Sorry to hear this. Very sad. RIP to Ed.
