Lynx that gave me fits and circled my cubbies, but I finally got him by setting snares around the sides of it.

I believe it was about 30 below this morning. Cold, but it could be worse. I tested the snare and it fired just fine despite all that frost.

I killed one of these two toms the next morning. They were already on the ground before shooting light and I was running late and didn't get there until after legal light. I got too close without realizing it and he flushed. I blasted him out of the air like a pheasant.

My last mule deer. Kind of spindly antlered but I was meat hunting and was perfectly happy with him.

Howling for wolves.
I royally screwed up on a big black one here in 2015 and a few years ago called two in, one of which a friend killed.

If birds are spooky or I am after something special like snowCOCK I use Remington Extended Range #6 or #4. For pheasants and chukar I try finding #6s, but not necessarily high performance loads. For most everything else I just use whatever cheap dove load I can find.

Bonneville Cutthroat. I really like those small creeks, even though the fish generally aren't big.
