Random find 1/2 mile off a main highway, but nowhere near a trail at all. I can’t see it, is that cash? No, it is not cash. It is early cadastral survey paperwork. The cap is "welded" on due to rust and/or a fire that went through and you can see that the corners of the paper are slightly burnt. I couldn't get it opened and didn't want to break the jar. The paper looks extremely brittle and "flaky", if you will due to the fire. Best I can tell from limited research though, the area hasn't burned since before 1950 when Alaska became a state. It is also up in the alpine where less water is to rot out the tipi of sticks that is holding it up. I have zero clue how old it is.

Yes, but he was surprisingly easy to get to stay in that pose. Just the way he fell I guess. Normally when posing them for a pic they flop all over like a donkey dick, and you have to brace them somehow.
Our buddy texted me this afternoon with a pic of the lion run he had made from that lion he got while deer hunting a year or so ago. He and Otis be doo'n well. Thanks for the info. I hope you mentioned I inquired of his being? No, he was too busy talking about how he stretched the pussy out so much, how we should rub our pussies together (meaning, my lion rug) sometime, you now....just a typical discussion with that guy. What a guy, eh? Yeah, phouc that guy, he never comes & drinks my beers anymore. Done with him, I say ! Ha, Yeah, he never managed to make the 50-60 mile trip to my place for a visit when I lived that close. Nevermind the fact I couldn't manage to get up there,........................................... this is all about him. Mostly, I wanted to meet Otis.......................dogs is usually way mo betta than peoples anyway.

Ted need to see a pic, of your lucky hunting hat the old Tweety Tweety kicks ass. Will my luck change if I get a Tweety hat? Actually see bucks, of the right species, in range when I have a buck tag in my pocket?

I was going to go scout sheep one more time before it opens on Tuesday but it is so socked in, glassing would be pointless, so here I am. I do need to go check moose cams and maybe fire off a few more rounds at the 5 as this is the first windless day in a while, just to make sure my windage is perfect. Or, I could just stay here and post pics of trash fish.

Unlike Rio's, these ain't dead. And they're just kittens............down by the river...............not in a van.................just hangin' out. Why hello there: Valsdad; Good morning my cyber friend, I hope your smoke level isn't too, too bad this morning and all are well. Thanks so much for the bobcat kitten photos sir, I absolutely love them. One time and one time only, when the girls were still in high school, we three were coming down the logging road from hunting and saw something cross the road followed by four or possibly five smaller "somethings". We stopped the pickup where they'd gone into the bush and one of the girls spotted first one, then a second and finally four bobcat kittens. I shut the diesel off and we could hear the mom bobcat howling and yowling at the kids to get away from that dirty Dodge, but they stayed for about a minute. Funny thing too, we all started scrambling for our cameras about then - this was prior to smart phones I guess as we all were packing digital hunting cameras. By the time we'd found them, the kittens had heeded mom's advice. The spot on the road is forever known as "Bobcat Corner" at our house. Let's see - previously posted but still for offer and hopes of cooler days. Cutting firewood spring 2020. Then Enough times results in Which finally will be Thanks again for the cat photos, they made my morning. Thanks to everyone who's been keeping this going, they're all fantastic and I am thoroughly enjoying them all. All the best. Dwayne

Dwayne,
Not smokey enough to prevent me from hanging laundry outdoors today. Thanks for asking.
Those kittens were along the road by the river where I used to work. Just so happened I had the little digital camera handy. I parked a bit away and walked back and they were more curious than afraid. I was surprised I was able to get such decent pictures.
Now, I wish I had the camera handy and not in my duffel the day the mt lion crossed in front and posed looking at me just on the other side of the road when I stopped. THAT would have made a real keeper of a pic. 20' at the most from my window, looking out from a scrub bush.
I may have asked, but forgotten..............what is the chambering on that short barrel bolt action? It looks handy.................and loud.
