The desert is a true treasure for him who seeks refuge from men and the evil of men. In it is contentment In it is death and all you seek (Quoted from "The Bleeding of the Stone" Ibrahim Al-Koni)
~Molɔ̀ːn Labé Skýla~ As Bob Hagel would say"You should not use a rifle that will kill an animal when everything goes right; you should use one that will do the job when everything goes wrong."Good words of wisdom...............
Late cow season. I saw easily 50 bulls that day. I ended up eating that tag.
With luck like that I can dub thee Geno Jr?
Sure. I'll call you daddy.
Back in the day....
One of the better pics on this thread.
Thanks.
Valsdad Top of the morning my friend, we got a light rain all night for the first time in what feels like forever so I hope you all are as good as I feel this morning.
I've often wished we had some sort of "like" button here.
I want to say I've thanked T Inman for his service and if so then officially here it is again sir - thanks so much.
I'm not sure why, but that photo hit me this morning. I must be getting old and sentimental or something, right?
Anyways all the best to you all and T Inman today.
T inman, you be a little crazy with that Cat, I'm assuming that cat was turned into a rug?
Always wanted to go after a big ole Tom, may still have to.
Good morning... That particular one we were going to let go but it decided to chew on a dog a few minutes after that pic was taken. I did end up taking him but gave the hide to a friend who was an aspiring taxidermist for him to practice on. He ended up full body mounting it.

Thanks Dwayne.
Truth be told, that pic was halfway "staged", though it was indeed outside of the wire in Fallujah. Combat Camera needed a publicity pic of Americans winning the "hearts and minds" of Iraqis. That little girl became my BFF for a while. We did this in a few places with several of us and honestly I don't even remember if that is me or not in that particular pic. It has been too many years.
Good day on the water so far, 2 natives, nice water..
Ping pong balls for the win. Once you've wrestled everything else in life is easy. Dan Gable I keep my circle small, I’d rather have 4 quarters than 100 pennies.
I never seem to be able to find the biggest bucks twice. One of the biggest typicals I've ever seen....
Hard to tell zoomed out but that things looks fairy tale big.
What is/was he like a 220 typical or something?
I posted this one a while back, but this is a buck that haunts my dreams. Not real wide, nor super massive or tall, but one with "good" everything. I was elk hunting and the deer season had closed. I never saw him again nor heard of anyone killing him and I am in pretty tight with most serious deer hunters in that area. I would have heard if someone got him. This was close to the Idaho border though, so it is possible he migrated to and from Idaho in which case I may not have heard about it.
