The guy I work with said he didn’t know how it happened, he was sure the bucket was up. I told him I was pretty sure it was down. Pic is worth a 1000 words.

Then STFU. The rest of your statement is superflous bullshit with no real bearing on this discussion other than to massage your own ego. Suckin' on my titties like you wanted me.

Very cool. There’s an old guy in town that does it. He produces enough to sell to a few of us locals but he mainly does it because he enjoys it. Sounds about exactly like what we have going on. When you get full capped frames of light colored honey, it's easy to smile. Started two hives this year. With "nukes", not just a package of bees. Out season is pretty short too. Hoping to talk to a few locals about overwintering them. Will take a lot of feed, especially this year, and they might need wrapped too. Starting an orchard and I always garden, so if I can keep them going I'll at least have pollination helpers even if they never get good production. Love seeing your success.

Another golden trout lake in the Wind River Range and roughly 12 miles in. Tinman, those goldens are cool. When I was a young boy fishing with my dad in the Sierras he caught one, it was maybe 10" long. We were fishing a little lake above tree line. The only one I have ever seen. Beautiful fish From what I have read, in the Sierras where they're native that is a respectable sized fish. I dunno..... It was a respectable size fish when I used to haunt them Sierras in the 70's. Caught a few, but seemed like many times we got hybrids with rainbows. We didn't care, they were for eating on layover days so we could get a meal that wasn't 100% dehydrated! 9 day treks with Explorer scouts were cool for teenagers from SoCal. Here's a passel of them being fried up. I sure miss those days. Our advisor did not believe in staying on the John Muir trail, so we usually had a 3-4 day adventure overland.

Not particularly easy hunting without a dog: But I managed to get one COCK that day. A Washington California quail. Posted that pic of the 870 20g before on a thread involving the Paddler dude to show him one didn't need a multi thousand dollar Perazzi to get birds. And best of all, the shotgun was won at a Friends of the NRA banquet in Juneau. Only cost me..................well, let's not say.

Correct me if I am wrong but golden trout are a subspecies of rainbow aren't they? Not sure as it's been 20+ years since I've been in school and involved in reading up on taxonomy. I do believe while I was there or sometime before that they gave all the "rainbow" (Salmo gairdnerii in the old terminology) relatives their own specific epithets and they are also now "salmon" so to speak as in Onchorhyncus mykiss (rainbow) and Onchorhyncus clarkii (cutts), like Onchorhyncus kisutch (Coho salmon) There was discussion when I was there, are Pacific salmon (Coho, King, pink, chum, etc) actually races of trout that after the glaciers left or some such, had access to salt water and used the opportunity to adapt and grow bigger, produce more young, and thereby have a better chance of continuing their respective line. Or, are the rainbow/cuttthroat/redband/golden trouts actually landlocked salmon? Seeing as how rainbow (steelhead) and cutthroat (sea runs) have races that do go to the salt, it all gets somewhat confusing and I now longer follow what the latest and greatest theories say. All I know............................they're all freakin' tasty! I'll look, maybe tomorrow as it's getting late. You've piqued my interest.

Oh, those are pics a friend of mine converted to digital from our advisor's slides!
I've got bunches of the hikes I went on and some from before and after my time in the Post.

Someday someone may kill you with your own gun, but they should have to beat you to death with it because it is empty.

I’ve really tried to find something in SLM’s pics to make fun of....Only thing I’ve noticed is SLM can grow a beard and mustache, where Tiney can’t even produce a whisper of baby fuzz. 😬🦫
