Random stump I came across on a gravel bar on the upper Chena, that was smoldering. Absolutely bizarre. There wasn't a fire around and the entire stump was smoldering, like the heat was coming from it's core. I have zero explanation for this. T Inman; Thanks for the further photos, I'm really enjoying them. If I was to guess on the root ball burning, I'd guess it was similar to a manure pile that can smolder enough to turn to ash on the inside. That's a guess, but it could have been the right combo of moisture and root/combustible material? Some small knives. 52100 ebay blank on the left, Bark River Mikro Canadian, little sheath scalpel made from the tip of an old Gerber Balmung. Pair I did from cold ground Simmonds D2 planer blades from the saw mill that used to be just down the road from us. Still loving all the photos folks. Dwayne

Ptarmigan hunting outside of Delta, AK. 79S likely knows where this is. Nope I sit at home eating Oreo cookies all day..
Then STFU. The rest of your statement is superflous bullshit with no real bearing on this discussion other than to massage your own ego. Suckin' on my titties like you wanted me.

Somers. I got rather drunk one time in Somers about 10 years ago. I passed out and woke up on a stranger's couch. I have no idea if he was drunk too and gave me a place to sleep, if I just barged into a random house and landed on the couch, or if I got ass raped but it was an unforgettable experience, fo shizzle. Memories....., or lack thereof.

Non hunting related... Fall at my house. Sunset on one of our rivers.. My local bar fighting back the flames...it survived. Spring time in my valley. Overlooking my neighborhood Gate Bitch. Me trying to warm up Montana in February with Global warming. Up at my Neighbor's place... Another yard buck.

Dwayne That is a distinct possibility, and about the only explanation I have heard thus far that would make any sense. Anyhoo....waiting for that sucker to stand up at 350 yards. Do it.....
