Yup, braunschweiger, onion, mustard or mayo on rye, with an ice cold beer!

As long as they keep making Spam, I'm not likely to ever have to eat Liverwurst or Braunschweiger.

Not exactly easy to find in SE Idaho but braunschweiger with bermuda onion sliced real thin on rye bread is the real deal.
I spent many a morning hunting deer with my Dad in SW Wisconsin with those sandwiches for lunch! Brings back lots of good memories...

I like it on good crackers with cheese on the side with pickled herring and grapes. Sounds Good!

Both are good, but I truly adore cold liver sandwiches with a nice slab of onion!

Love it, especially from a {{{{deli)))))

Winco, next to the deli. Ridley's has the Falls Brand, last I checked. Or get it from Falls Brand in Twin Falls. You're welcome....

LOVE it. A favorite pocket or back pack sandwich for hunting and fishing trips. ALWAYS have some at camp. Like it on rye or maybe an onion Kaiser roll even better. Yes red onion. Yes mustard. Either Muenster or a white cheddar cheese. Sometimes Mayo and shredded lettuce too.

You folks are inspirational. Was sitting around wondering what to eat for a late lunch. Saw this thread. Remembered there was still some liver in the fridge. Not wurst, just grilled liver. So, grilled liver sammi on just made semolina bread, with some sliced onion picked from the garden two days ago, some sliced of Aussie sharp cheddar and a schmear of hot German mustard. And yes, the liver is not overcooked! The three little pieces will be treats for the whippet kids
