I can't seem to find a review of this rifle anywhere; just announcements that they were being made. I'm mulling over the purchase of one; it's NIB at a retailer. It's a gloss-blued 110 in a fancy walnut Monte Carlo stock. Price is almost exactly $1650 USD, taxes in. Chambered in my beloved .250 Savage; if it were not a Savage chambering I'd have no interest whatsoever.
Has anyone bought one or read a review? It's a 110 so I just assume accuracy will be just fine.

Here's a writeup.. don't drink anything while reading it. There's a comment about Arthur Savage that had me spitting sweet tea all over my keyboard. Other than that flight of fantasy, it gives the key info. https://www.gunsamerica.com/digest/savage-arms-anniversary-model-110/

I'll think it over. I have a couple items up for sale and I just might splash out on this. It's a bit more glitzy than I care for, but I've seen worse.

I probably should have grabbed one. But I have a couple of the 50th Anniversary 110's, and these weren't didn't seem as nice to me. If they'd given them nicer walnut maybe..
But the 50th Anniversary 110 wasn't available in 250. So.. yeah, this would be nice to have in a 250. You're not the only guy I know who's looking around for one.

Nice rifles but I could never get past that hideous butt pad.
I think I would rather have an American Classic model 14 in 250 Savage.
They turn up every now and then...

I initially only intended on looking for the .250 & .300. Then one day in the LGS, Dan shows me one in 6.5 Creedmore with absolutely stunning wood, but the finish didn't meld to the stock as well as it should have in a few places. He didn't really want to send it back to Savage as that could take forever so for $800us that came home. The other two took a bit of looking but did find them for around $1150us each and a Classic 14 in .250 for $800us also, all 4 NIB.
Kuddos out to Savage as one of the pistol grip medallions was lifted, probably by an employee so now his GF is walking around with the only Chief Lame Deer pendant. Sent an email to the store and Savage, store couldn't find it -sorry! About a week later I get a msg from Nick at Savage, "It must be your lucky day Bob"! He had gone back into the custom shop and one Tech ahd broken down a damaged stock and saved it as these medallions were just made to order for the # of firearms. Nick packaged it up and I had it in a week express!! No charge.

I don't understand the attraction of Anniversary editions generally, especially when they cost more than an original!!~ Collectors are the only ones who decide if a thing is "coolectible", or not. For me, if it were just about having another rifle in beloved 250, then $1600 would go a long way toward a nice custom 250 rifle.

I actually decided to pass on this rifle as I have a nice accurate 99 in .250 and a VERY accurate Savage 16 in .250 AI. But I made the mistake of cruising the Internet and bought a different Anniversary rifle; the Rem 700 stainless fluted 100th Anniversary .300 Savage. Also a bit glitzy but more likely to be used for hunting and I'm currently 300-Savageless.

Still have Both American Classics I listed awhile back. Might try listing again someday.

I have a couple of the "coins" that came with each rifle, kind of neat, if any one wants one.

I passed on the engraved 110 Anniversary rifles because I too have a pair of M14s in 250 and 300. As I have said before these are most accurate Savage rifles I own. Probably will stay with the American Classic Model 14s and the 1920 and 1920-26s. Still looking for a Remington 700 Classic in 250 though...

While it's not in a 'Savage' caliber, I bought a American Classic Model 14 in .223 Rem last fall. Really nice lookin rifle. While I have .223/5.56mm auto rifles, I always wanted to have a bolt gun in .223. Bought it on GB from an estate sale. Son of original owner advised his Dad bought it new and really didn't fire it much. Condition tells that to be true. If the box had came with it it could have passed for NIB. Well pleased with it, very accurate. FFL gun shop owner where I had it sent said he thinks that was the nicest looking bolt rifle he had ever seen as did several other usual 'hanger around' characters at the shop. Even though there are horse thieves and lowlifes being dishonest on GB, there are honest sellers to be had. Now with GB's recent self instituted buyers fee besides a sellers fee, I think I'm done with GB.
